A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck near the Egyptian city of Suez early Monday, shaking buildings across Cairo and prompting authorities to activate emergency response plans. No casualties or significant damage were immediately reported.

Growing pains. The eastern arm of the new Himalayas is just getting started.
Will our descendants be around to remember that we knew all this time ago? Will something else evolve in the absence of our lineage and be intelligent enough to figure it out like we figured out the original Himalayas?
