Sometimes a camera just needs a sock.

The Flock Sock is a slip on cover designed to help protect a Flock camera from the harmful radiation of the sun. Your city spent their very own hard earned tax dollars scattering these cameras everywhere to keep you safe, all it cost you was a little privacy. The very least you can do is help protect these valuable civil servants from getting a bad sunburn.

    You want to fill those with some spray foam adhesive before you install them. Otherwise, they might blow off in a heavy wind.

      Oops, I scrolled through recent posts to double check before posting, but I didn’t search the whole community. Just now, I was going to find/link the one you’re referencing but searching didn’t give me results for 3d, makerworld, flock sock, or the direct link. So especially if there’s good convo on that one, please link it if you can! And hopefully this one will help get more new eyes on it! :)

    I actually thought it might be a nice slip on protection for the solar panel itself. Advantage is it doesn’t block the camera view so everything looks normal, and it wouldn’t be very obvious as it would just sit over the panel to keep the hot sun off it. In a day or so the camera would just lose power for some odd reason.
