There was a big event organized by a left wing party in Mexico and they invited plenty of parties in the world(primarily from Latin America).

It was so big that a lot of Europeans joined it including Serbian, French, Spain, Belarus and Moldovan. There were 3 parties from Russia: komros, KPRF and United Russia.

From Asia, we had Laotian, CPC and Vietnamese. (Edit 1 AND the DPRK’s PTC)

In the event, the Venezuelans even explained there socialist communal system and the transition that they are currently planning to make to phase out the outdated representative bourgeois democracy at the base of society. Pretty interesting.

You can check out some of the participants in the following list.

Also, Palestinian comrades joined the event!

I have the opportunity to get therapy and it has now led to some heavy introspection to think about how I got to this point. I had to take the day off today because of this. On the one hand it is good to finally get therapy, on the other hand it is tiring.

I’m also feeling let down with party work as basically nothing of value is coming forward. Just a meeting now and then, no real activist or other organising stuff. I’d love for us to start leading by example and set up some direct action stuff in the city but I’ve already said this a few times without getting a real response.

I spend the weekend in my hometown and that means, for me, spending time in the middle of a blue collar, working class community. I have trouble linking the people that join our party with the typical working class people I grew up with. Or at least the side of the party I am active in. Mostly educated, straight out of college leftist type of people. Which is not wrong per se, but I feel like we are starting to get that type of person tunnel vision, you know? I personally never gratuated college and through blue collar work managed to get where I am now and sometimes our party group feels like losing track with what keeps the working class busy. My dad, working a blue collar job for 30+ years now, does not see the need to sign the umpteenth petition for example. And neither do I feel the need to ask people to sign the umpteenth petition if I had to be honest. We need to do more.

Just a rant and I’ll probably figure things out but if you can’t reach the working class en masse after more than two decades of right wing policies I feel like you are doing things wrong.

And also, with trust in political parties at an all time low it seems, how much credibility do you think to build up when to them, you seem like just another party asking for votes?

Get out there and show how organising can bring change. Turn that ugly run down piece of land in your neighborhood into a park. Hell, maybe squat an empty building but without the anarchist pissing against the wall tactic. Do something.

I don’t know where you live, but where I do, many usually uneducated workers, peasants, and petty bourgeois think it’s normal to throw rubbish everywhere. Even educated peoples, which are usually well-off seem to have the same problem, so while building and planning such projects, which in my case is a communal garden, take it as an opportunity to make such basic concepts normalized and encourage more community building along side political agitation. In my experience, the youth are usually the most prone to radicalization, so focus on planting seeds there.

        Hope the best

I need to apologise to all the comrades who were saying Corbyn is controlled opposition, a distraction, and no better than Bernie.

You were right all along and I should’ve seen it back when Corbyn as the Labour leader banned socialists who supported Palestine for supposed “antisemitism” while keeping all the Blairites, neoliberals and imperialists like Starmer. I thought “he has to do that to stay electable and to survive in British parliamentary politics” but the truth of the matter is he was perfectly content to strangle the new party in it’s infancy the moment he felt attacked from the left, and suddenly being electable or survival of the party didn’t matter at all.

For context, he announced a new party with Zarah Sultana, she quit the Labour party for this, and the moment she went out of line (by launching the membership portal without checking with him first) he immediately threw a public tantrum, threatened legal action, sent a mass mail to all subscribers that the portal is “unautharised” and “if any direct debits have been set up, they should be immediately cancelled” and so on.

The portal was doing great by the way, it had 20,000 paying members within 3 hours of announcement which is completely unprecedented and he wrecked it and completely killed the momentum because he felt threatened by a young, brave, socialist, brown Muslim woman.

Now it seems Zarah has been completely sidelined, there is no mention of her in any communications, and today Corbyn officially registered the party with the Electoral Commission with himself as a sole leader and a transphobic, socially conservative landlord as Nominating Officer.

This is a complete betrayal and I feel sick thinking back to how I kept supporting him. He’s a wrecker, I was being a lib and I was wrong.

Tbh, he may feel that he has to do this stuff after what happened to him with the anti-Semitism charges, but he’s dead-wrong for doing all this now.

He couldn’t stand up for himself against Blairites and zionists but he can against a socialist and anti-zionist. It doesn’t just look bad, it is bad.

what is this if not an excuse?

Stop making excuses for a man who has never stood up for anything other than his own political career.

Corbin is not a comrade. He is not “hiding his power level.” He is not trying to “traverse a corrupt system.” He is building a transphobic crypto-zionist party for the bourgeois electoral system because that is who he is or at least who he thinks he needs to be to keep getting an MP’s salary.

holy shit people are fucking ridiculous, man.

leftistgamermemes literally used the word “socialism” to mean the benefits that would be available to all of us under a socialist economy as the concessions given to soldiers in exchange for their service to capital. Is it scientifically correct? No, but it isn’t exactly wrong either. The things that your government employee; military or not; and much more, would be readily available to everyone under a socialist governance. Despite the meme doing very well on the page and actually doing okay on chapo, multiple people completely lost their fuckin’ shit over a fucking meme I didn’t even create.

Is this meme saying that socialism is when politicans get stuff or obviously that a select few enjoy the benefits we all would enjoy under socialism? Like jesus, people are acting like it’s saying “socialism is when government does stuff” without looking deeper whatsoever into the context or the fact that it’s playing off nostalgia to begin with. I genuinely had someone sitting there and asking me “if I knew how much damage this slop is doing” while at the same time telling me I’m overrepresenting it/deflecting/shifting blame on something I didn’t even fucking create. Schrodinger’s Slop.

Do veterans control the means of production? Are they democratically represented in government? Beyond some of them getting a pension or some equivalent, is there anything protecting them from the grinding gears of the class society that they are still in the underclass of?

not the tiny small-bean uwu baby-killers that literally get a plethora of benefits for themselves, their spouse and their children for literally servicing a death-machine. The thing protecting them from the “gears of class society” is their service and even then they are given a lot more than your average person to prevent them from “falling down”. It as a system just has zero issue shrugging off the undesirables and “useless”. There’s plenty of soldiers out there who have recognized and realized otherwise, but I’m not going to pretend like most of them are good people. Sadly, a genuine chunk of the good ones killed themselves. I don’t mean that in a edgy “haha dead soldier is a good soldier” but the ones high in empathy don’t last too long.

I dunno about you but a three month old account seemingly fully dedicated to creating as much argument and division out of a fucking gaming meme screams really weird to me, but then again we have eight people posting the same question repeatedly without any further thinking or consideration than the tik-tok clip of Richard Wolf looping in their brain. Yes, I do know some of them were joking.

I got my reddit account temporarily banned for 3 days.

For context, r/NBA was discussing gambling, and a user said there are wealthy people making a lot of money with gambling. So despite being detrimental to society, gambling isn’t going anywhere.

I replied we can stop them by cutting their heads off. Got suspended for violating Rule #1, then deleted the app 😛

I am pretty sure the primary source of revenue for sports leagues right now is their partnership with gambling sites, so unfortunately online gambling is here to stay in sports in most of the world. It’s crazy how embedded it has become the last 5-6 years, they put betting lines in the damn broadcast overlay, sports influencers are all sponsored by one of the big online casinos, it has become so normalized that people simply do not watch games without betting.

Soon everything that was lost will soon come back. Not in the form it was before but in a stronger and brighter version.

Socialism is inevitable if we all fight from our respective place. A better world is possible.

i got introduced to my org through my friends. i think if you have any friends that are already organizing, go with them. i did this and found out that the deepest of all friendships is comradeship.

if you don’t, however, i would make the decision based on three things:

        1. are they ML
        2. do they do/want to do mass work
        3. are they intense about political education

if yes, join. all the smaller ideological squabbles you can ignore. if there’s no org like that around you, start one! black panthers started with six members.
