Yes, it’s definitely happening.
I am a bit of a “boo” for a culture of affordable housing low cost of living, healthcare, and technological advancement for the betterment of society as a whole.

One of my sources of entertainment is to go on landlord support groups or pages and sling theory, showcase the statistics of and the development of China during Mao and afterwards while generally reminding the more egregious ones that they should probably be shot.

Let’s just say that despite the common attitude Marxists have towards landlords, I was a pretty respectful, polite renter that did my own work/repairs with permission and saved them tons of money before getting absolutely fucked over multiple time and having my roof that I paid rent for get spray-painted in neon colors for a political advertisement for Trump over months.
Since then, pure, seething hatred. I fucked with that one good.
When I don’t have to read books for school anymore, I’m gonna catch up to so much theory
There is this reaction by far right people whenever one of their own gets in trouble with police to say police never does anything against, for example, XR activists whenever they block things. Which is nuts because hundreds of people get arrested whenever XR blocks things. It’s widely reported.
Does anyone else have trouble valuing yourself sometimes? I assume it’s not uncommon under capitalism, but I still want to put it out there. Like I’ve been to therapy plenty, I know all the platitudes, and I do believe in valuing human life very strongly. But it doesn’t change the fact that capitalism doesn’t value me and many others intrinsically and I think it’s hard to shake that sometimes. Like there’s what I believe and then there’s what society practices, and society is a powerful instrument of impact; at least, that’s sort of how I make sense of the contrast between belief and internalized feelings about it.
Today is the start of the three day strike over here. Today public services started the strike, so lots of cancelled public transport. Tomorrow it will be the teachers and Wednesday it will be a general strike nationwide.

Day three of the strikes. Today it is the general strike, which means all sectors can join the strike. 1 in 10 Flemish companies will face problems today. Major problems in the harbor and airports. I’ll be going on a tour through the city, visiting picket lines.
Anything result from the strike as of yet?
