I once got a couple of those free from a foodbank they’d been donated to. The first taste is just sort of really mediocre but inoffensive generic chocolate, then after that they’ve got a foul aftertaste.

I don’t think so? The absence of that is what made the initial taste just kind of inoffensive. I can’t place the unpleasant aftertaste. Like the whole experience was pretty much just very bland and forgettable; it’s not the worst chocolate I’ve ever had, but it’s not something I’d seek out and even if I were offered more free ones I’d probably refuse unless I was hungry and needed something with calories enough not to be more selective.
