Do you have ideas for TLDs? Here’s some of mine, not sure if any of these exist already:

  • .plus
  • .now
  • .ent (short for enterprise)
  • .one
  • .er (for domain hacks, don’t get any ideas)
  • .db
  • .source

As I said in the other thread where this was posted: I’d suggest simply returning to .edu, .gov, .mil, .com, .org, .net — and actually enforcing their meanings.

Yeah I gotta be honest. Any time I see a .io tld on something tech related I assume they’re pretentious. Also I hate having to type the tld, I always ctrl enter for .com domains.

That said I do have a .xyz domain, but only because it’s 99 cents a year. Which reminds me I need to renew it.

I really liked .io when those started popping up, I thought it would be perfect if I had any silly little personal API projects.

Their popularity means they are way too expensive for that. Any hope of me actually buying a domain is really shrinking because the more I learned about the web the less inclined I am to have my personal info out there this way. I know there are privacy respecting ways to get a domain, but you know what I mean

All the religious wingnuts will hop all over:

    • .god
    • .truth
    • .holy
      …etc., etc.

I say milk 'em for all they’re worth. They grift plenty enough, so I’ve got no problem turning the tables.

IDK who is squatting on this, but poop.ai has a minimum bid of $70k. I’m leaning poo.pay but my number two would be .poo TLDs, for the shits of it.

    I’d love to see .source

Could be used for a lot of different tech and non tech things: open.source, linux.source, lifehacks.source, re.source

    Great potential
