    Imagine a special lane, with like, guiding rails so the bus can really go fast. And you could electrifying the rails? And maybe have like, a convoy of buses?
    Hmmm, doubt it would ever work though. People really love driving in traffic jams.

    A bus traveling 120 mph sounds like a very very bad idea. Blowing out a tire is going to kill everyone.

    Just build rail like an actual civilized country.

      The NIMBYs are strong in California. That and land is expensive. Definitely before the planned route ws pubished speculators “got lucky” in buying up the areas that weren’t already owned.

    Wait that BS is coming from Caltrans, shouldn’t they know better? Is this the newest vapor ware to undermine the completion of the already started construction of the one means of transport that can actually easily maintain that speed without putting everyone’s life at unreasonable risk.

    I am shocked Caltrans are even wasting money on that but the article itself is even listing all the reasons why this does not exist, is a terrible idea and even if possible would require massive and new specialised infrastructure for such a bus service.
