As President Donald Trump prepares to welcome the top investors in his meme coin to a private dinner, centrist Senate Democrats gave a different kind of gift to the crypto industry on Monday.
Two weeks after helping tank an earlier vote on the so-called stablecoin bill, a group of 16 Democrats voted with nearly every Republican to push the bill past a filibuster threat.
Crazy how some people still say the Democrats can’t do anything because they are not in charge.
Democrats in office: “They can’t do anything major, they have to abide by decorum and rules. …Yes the rules are made up with zero consequence if they’re broken, but we have to abide!”
Democrats when in minority: “They can’t do anything, they don’t have the votes.”
Republicans in office: FULL EVIL ALL TIME
Republicans when in minority: GUMMING THE SYSTEM, SABOTAGE EVERYTHING
And most voters cant see this and think the Democrats are the good guys when they just approve of anything Republicans want, not even trying to meet halfway.
Have democrats actually filibustered anything since trump took office?
Booker wasn’t filibustering any particular legislation or appointment.
They had a huge opportunity to block the funding bill but capitulated to Trump without demanding anything.
Americans suffering and “learning their lesson”, not to vote republican next time, as vile a sentiment as it is, is the only reason I can suggest, other than personal financial gain, for democrats lack of action. Greed and spite and manipulation.

No. They haven’t fillibustered anything, only vote yes on what Trump wants.
It’s like they’re hedging their bets with fascism. God I hope they live to regret it.
They’re all just so damn corrupt. This isn’t even one of those bills that skittish Democrats will fret about looking like they’re against the police or military and thus requires that they prostrate themselves for belly rubs by Republicans. Crypto’s influence is entirely monetary. Regular people think it’s a scammy casino for unpleasant nerds.
