Just spread the cost over many years. If they have to be replaced in 1 year, it doesn’t. If they last more than 10 years (my guess), it does. Unlike the small consumer batteries we’re all used to, vehicle batteries are temperature controlled and managed, and made to be recharged many thousands of times.

How? I can’t find anywhere what’s different between a Li battery that lasts 1 year and one that lasts 30 years
