      Imagine if someone in a thousand years found starwars and people got shitty because we didnt have real light sabers yet

        I have no problem with that. My problem is that it is fantasy set in a real time in human history, and it deviates from that source it is based on. It is an adoption of a great work of art and it fumbles with the details.

        Well actschually, the Cyclops was most likely a dead elephant, but why care about the details, Nolan clearly doesn’t.

          I mean a reanimated dead elephant would be pretty badass. Maybe we can get that in the more historically accurate work of fantasy, the Winds of Winter.
