It is interesting to see what the UK is going to do with Burnham. He is by far not a socialist but he is doing something I guess. Nationalising some stuff and making public transport cheaper. If they manage to get some positive results I can very much see some trouble within the EU occurring.
He’s the same as Starmer. His political history doesn’t match his current rhetoric, most of the Cabinet is the same, and he’s already allowed the US to bomb Iran from UK air bases.
True, I was being a bit shortsighted.
Andy is just the scapegoat they’re using for the eventual victory of Farange. Andy is going to face opposition and hurdles at every step, and then Reform is going to claim the “socialists” are inept and unfit, especially as the UK economy enters free fall from the oil crisis and the debt crisis and all other assorted crises.
Perfect set up for a fascist to take hold
The £2 bus fare cap was a Tory policy that was backslid on by Starmer to a £3 cap. It is not particularly radical.
I saw the name Burnham and thought of the comedian Bo Burnham for a moment. He’d probably be far more conscientious in running a country, but also have no interest in doing so on account of extreme disinterest in public life.
