Living close to Germany, it seems to me the Germans really like to show their titles and no one seems to think it’s pedantic. That said, over here in the Netherlands the Dutch titles weren’t used by many, but I see quite a lot of MBA’s, MSC’s and even BSC’s these days.

Exactly! People who know they are the shit don’t need to proof it to others by adding titles to their name.
