I think its funnier to upset them by calling them yankees.
If you specifically want to call them something dumb it doesn’t hurt to call them something new: S’ankees, Sou’r krauts, corn krauts, texmex, texish, etc.
I like that one too, it just doesn’t convey the truth their leadership is like a bunch of ivyleague trust fund kids who were trained to sound folksy by voice trainers.
