He did own a company that owned a lot of plantations, sure, but he wasn’t directly overseeing any of his businesses because he was so dedicated to his true passion: teaching extremely outdated views on ethics, race, and eugenics.
I can’t stop thinking about all the fucked up shit a tenured professor of 700 years would be teaching. Jump up and down to not get pregnant, women and people with other skin tones aren’t really human like us, the wonders of lobotomy, throwing virgins into volcanoes to stop earthquakes and ensure good harvests, how to beat the devil out of people who insist on writing with their left hand…
