I think what folks from not humid places don’t realize is how hot the shade is. Shade is always better than sun, obviously, but it sort of only takes the feeling of the sun against your skin. The air is still hot. I’d compare it to a sauna sort of. Like it’s still stuffy.
The first time my wife went to somewhere that actually has dry heat she said it was amazing. She was actually cold in the shade. Not just cool. That concept is so foreign to me.

This. Higher wet bulb temps just straight up kill you. A hot day in Alabama or Louisiana is not the same as a hot day in London or Riyadh.
