You can also see this on cars share i live. Next time you go outside, see what percentage of cars that are white, gray or black. Its the absolute majority. And then you have maybe 20% with different colors.

Its because people have been told that white, gray and black are elegant and you won’t get tired of those colors.

Im so tired of those colors.

No, it is because most are lease cars for companies, and they require them to be a neutral color so they keep their resale value for when they get changed to a newer model.

Fun fact: those “colors” actually hurt resale value.

Though there may not be a wide market for cars of interesting colors, the market that does exist continually pays more money for the privilege of a color. Especially in the used market and especially more still for “fun” cars.

Could be actually. In my country, white Teslas are everywhere and most are company cars.

Our car is white because that’s what they had in stock when we needed a car. I don’t give a shit what color my car is as long as it can fit and move my family and my stuff.

Yeah, it could be that a lot of people don’t care about the color too, that’s true.

I cared a lot actually, even turned down a car because it was black. I have a very nice blue color on my current car and it’s so nice to see it every time in the parking lot.
