I don’t remember exactly where i read about it, probably in paper books, but i think it were Kitchener’s comments about the fair and corageous Sudanese who accepted pitched battle where Kitchener could massacre them by modern firepower vs the insidious and sneaky Boers who waged partisan warfare so he invented concentration camps and all other anti-insurgency tactics which were and still are up to this day used by such wholesome and fair military forces as Wehrmacht and IDF.
The only honorable options is to send waves and waves of soldiers into the cannons.
