Well you’ve done the hard part and managed to find Lemmy, make an account and post something. Doing great so far.
This is nationally a reddit replacement and works similarly. It does have less content and is more fragmented (search for memes communities and see how many ones there are across instances), but it’s a good experience and has helped me stop using reddit completely. I would recommend browsing by “all”.
Finding a good app or frontend helps improve the experience. I use Boost on Android and Alexandrite on desktop.
