Aberystwyth University closed one of its campuses a few years ago. The place has been left to rot, but recently they’ve started clearing the place out, and removing all the old scientific textbooks. Most of them look untouched. Wonder how much this lot would have set students back if buying new.

    No it isn’t if it has potentially wrong conclusions corrected in later editions. Isn’t that the sort of thing that contributes to hallucinations?

      If properly annotated with dates, no. It’s the stochastic nature of the models which cause hallucinations, they don’t build a proper fact based worldview

      Well… I thought out it as training data for LLM which are language model needinf thousand and thousand of example to articulate sentences. But you are right, it should not be use to train any knowledge model.
