    It’s always funny to me how “premium experiences” are so often nickel and diming and kind of just suck.

    Stayed in a “five star” hotel once (I didn’t choose or pay for it) and they charged you to have basic wifi during your stay as an add-on. The place had fancy crown molding and marble and shit but the room was still cramped and had a certain unpleasant smell to it.

      This is why the petty bougies often go insane. They scrape and claw and exploit in order to climb above the rest, and this is what is waiting for their noveau rich asses. Fake luxury, tacky, low quality that costs way more than its worth. They feel they are owed more. They want the premium villas and servants, the real deal, but that’s always beyond their reach so they have to settle for McLuxury.
