Yes why does nobody use voicemails? I never get it. Same number calls me 3x over the course of a week - brother if you can’t even leave a message for me to call you back or pick up the next time it can’t be that important.
Nowadays I use call screening on every call unless I know the person. If they say their name and what they want, it shows on my screen and I pick up if I’m interested. But most don’t do that and hang up as soon as the voice starts. Eh, write me an email then, I’m not gonna respond if you can’t even say your name.
I find checking voicemail so tedious and inconvenient as someone worth audio processing issues and the quality is usually so bad I have to listen to it several times and still can’t 100% understand. Voicemail transcription helps but I ain’t paying a subscription for that shit when that person can just send a text.
I used to make semi-sensitve phone calls from my personal cell so of course I blocked my number. I would however leave a voicemail stating my name, my work location, that it was not an emergency and that I would call back again within 5 minutes. 90% of the time people answered the second call.

I don’t check my voicemails because I keep getting spammed by different numbers and they also leave voicemails.
