For those who wish to know.

    Tap for spoiler

The Vet initially thought she had been hit by a car. She was covered in bruises and coughing up blood. After finding out she was an inside cat they deduced that she probably chewed on a wire and was electrocuted.

Oh honey - I’m so sorry. That explains why she looks so young in all the pictures - it’s because she was.

We lost both of ours and both dogs over the course of about a year and a half. They were every one of them old, and it was still absolutely crushing every time. To lose one so young, and to such a trauma indoors where we assume they’re going to be safe - the heartbreak and shock together must be absolutely heartbreaking.

      I’m so sorry

Im so sorry. This is a fear I’ve had for a while now. You can’t hide every cord, ya just hope they don’t chew on them. Rest in peace to your beautiful kitty💕🌈❤️💕

Oh I am so sorry for both of you. It must’ve been terrible to find her so terribly injured, and to make the desperate run to the vet, and then she couldn’t be saved. At least they could make her passing less painful. Some cats are just so determined to do dangerous things, especially chewing/eating things they shouldn’t, that there’s no stopping them. Sounds like she had a fierce independent spirit in her little body. Now it’s gone, but you’ll see flashes of it out in the world, and feel its warmth deep in your heart. Take your time to recover. But also know that if another cat comes into the empty place in your life, her claim on you will be undiminished.

That is terrible! But it is not your fault.
      Accidents happen.

My second cat was hit by a car in the night, after i shooed him away from me because i wanted to sleep and he wanted to play. It took a while to stop thinking that if only i had played with him a bit, he would not have gone out, and get hit by a car.

But that is not how the world works. Accidents happen. you cannot blame yourself and definitely cannot make the world perfectly safe.

      ❤️

      Ooph, that’s hard to hear

Feel hugged, that’s a tough one

Not sure, what else I can say, because there isn’t much.
I’m just really sorry for you
