Man Covers Car in Special Wrap That Breaks Flock Cameras’ Electronic Brains
While I love this idea, I’m not sure that covering your car with the word “Donut” will keep the cops away
Welcome to modern warfare 🫡
So… all I have to do to ensure my right to privacy is spend several hundred dollars and make my car ugly as sin.
Please pardon my lack of enthusiasm.
Dont forget extremely recognizable
Reminds me of the guy that had “NULL” on a vanity plate that broke some systems. It didn’t end too well iirc.
https://www.wired.com/story/null-license-plate-landed-one-hacker-ticket-hell/
It didn’t end well because their system was bad, not because he did anything particularly wrong. CA fucked up and gave him every ticket where a cop had typed in NULL while simultaneously allowing him to use NULL as a license plate number. I honestly think he should sue.
It broke the website when he tried to renew. He ended up using a reference number to renew instead and that means (so far as I can tell) someone somewhere on the DMV knew this was a problem and tried to fix it. The only problem is they didn’t fix it and didn’t notify him that his plate was no longer allowed. He should have received a letter about it.
Every cop who didn’t fill in the license plate number for a ticket should be on the hook too.
