        While we openly complain of struggling enlistment due to physical, and psychological, hindrance, we have a rapidly growing report of recruiters facing ideological, and practical mistrust in leadership, as a rapidly growing reason for enlist denial. So, something is working.

          You know how that gets ultimately resolved though, right? If recruitment crashes hard enough, they’ll just restart the draft.

          I’m not saying that as an argument for people to enlist. I’m simply pointing out that that’s the logical end state of recruitment crashing out catastrophically. But it would also be effective political suicide.

            Yes, conscription will come when they can’t fulfill the needs of staffing. However this has historically made people even more adverse towards the military.
