I post the article because it’s from Boston’s official government website so progressive icon Michelle Wu had to have signed off on it
I feel like this is bad because I know this sounds bad but men don’t deserve this, their insecurity, ego and feelings of inadequacy are what got Trump elected here and will likely lead to an AFD government in Germany and an NR government in France.
I feel by doing this we are letting them win and validating their feelings and by extension their persecution complex so now they have every incentive to throw a fit and threaten to vote for and then end up actually voting for right wing parties.
Yeh yeh men have problems to I read bell hooks ok but they have problems in the same way white people have problems, we need to not give in and weather the storm like we did for white people throwing a fit when they started losing status and privilege.
Because we won that fight, we did organized whiteness has gone the way of the dodo when in 2017 with the alt right it felt like ti was taking the world by storm.
I support a month for both men’s mental health and LGBTQ pride, but the positioning of both is a bit hamfisted and could be read into maliciously.
Fact is though, if we do not support men in some way, the alienation turns them into enemies. I would much prefer an ally to support, no?
am I talking to Neville Chamberlain here. We shouldn’t appease fascist men. If men feel alienated by feminism or women’s empowerment then you don’t want them on yoru side anyways.
We tried compromising with them. Plenty of women still date and want relationships with men even though it has literally no benefit, they have tons of porn they can watch with the possibility of legalized prostitution already being talked about and if that isn’t good enough they can just transition and be a woman which they won’t because they know women are still oppressed and they hate women.
Their misogyny is why women don’t want them and why women are saying no. Most men are just not worth it.
You’re equating men’s mental health with the three factors in your post.
Mental health is health. They aren’t separate. It’s absurd to propose that men’s health should be suppressed. Does that not insinuate that non-Nazi men have no (mental) health issues?
