It’s insane to me that there have been so many cases of black people found hanging recently and they’ve pretty much all been brushed off.

Your argument doesn’t hold water. The means of death here - hung from a tree - is statistically significant when it comes to suicides AND murders. The fact that none of these were investigated is also unusual. And then we add the fact that this specfic kind of death has been used historically, up through the present, as a means of communicating racism, prejudice, and intimidation. Combined, it is compelling evidence for foul play.
