When I used to install custom shower enclosures, I would quietly cringe every time someone wanted one of these awful things. What I would usually compromise with the customer on is, size the panel so that the walk-through opening was sized correctly to accept a stock door, if they want to add one later. I’d say more than half of clients would add the door less than a year later.
