Misogyny is massive. Half the population was liberated from lives of utter dependence on and vulnerability at the hands of the other. Allowed to do stuff like leave abusive marriages and testify against their husbands and shit but it’s “Yes yes they got some rights”.

It’s one of the most significant liberations in human history god damn it. My own grandmother’s life was transformed from one of illiterate servitude to one where she could keep her own apartment and do technical work (and get recognition and respect for doing so, not condemnation!).
