In Leeds, streets are being temporarily closed to traffic so kids have more space to safely play - an initiative proving beneficial to both children and adults.

    Some family members warned me not to buy a house with a shared private driveway, but now we can close this off whenever we feel like and the neighbour’s kids and mine absolutely love playing out front.

    I have family in Canada and in the suburbs it is just expected that kids will be running around in residential streets. There are signs up everywhere to warn cars and people know to drive dead slow and stop completely at the sight of a child anywhere nearby. Works out great.
