I honestly didn’t even know this was a thing.
Sad to see this go, it was my favorite interface to use CR, IIRC I got more than 1k hours of use of this app over the years.
But with the Switch 2 not supporting any video apps at all it was obvious this wouldn’t last long.
Heh, that brings back memories. I don’t remember when Crunchyroll was released but I distinctly remember when Hulu was released, it was the first video streaming app on Switch and everyone thought all other services will now come to Switch too, like Netflix etc, but they didn’t.
There was a freaking dedicated button for a streaming service interface embedded in the home menu on the Wii U. Not a channel, actual part of the main menu toolbar, always on screen.
That shit never even had any service attached to it in Europe, it was just wasted space.
I did use it a couple times when Ive been away from home and brought my switch but didn’t have access to a Chromecast or smart TV in the place I was staying. Outside that, never used it at all. I haven’t even touched my switch since I finished TOTK so I’m not exactly shedding a tear here.
