It says the EU Foreign Ministers are meeting soon to discuss “sharing the burden” of illegality of this action. It seems, were this to go through which I very much fear it will, our leaders are doubling down on war, while increasing repression to dissidence at home with eg. mass surveillance, and by outlawing civilian organizations and individuals with bogus charges while seizing their assets and denying banking like with many pro-Palestine cases. With the help of international banking institutions, of course.

Surely there are more concerning issues for the European people, like the global food shortage looming in the very near future caused by the war the EU countries’ closest allies started in the middle east which stopped the production of nitrogen fertilizer used globally due to its manufacturing being tied to the fossil fuel industry and refinement process. Most NATO countries failed to object to this war, and even assisted in the act. As it so happens the war the EU is preparing to double down on is being fought against the largest exporter of both said fertilizer and wheat, who just recently stated its unwillingness to sell its fertilizer to the EU, most likely due to the economic sanctions and other actions EU has taken against it in this war. At the same time this exporter has strengthened its ties to China, the second largest (maybe actually the largest already, not sure) economy in the world, and the largest productive force in the world. Its economy is not in shambles, and will not be in shambles due to this war, or any other feeble attemps the western world order can attempt to make to further it.

No, it is the west whose economies are in shambles, and due to the aggressive policies of deindustrialisation these countries have gone through for a while now, who have relied on the export of capital through the US dollar’s world reserve currency status and UNBEATABLE ARMADA (recently exposed as a paper tiger) of the US military might, who now have no hope of rebuilding those economies without heavy change of internal and external policies. As it seems to be, that is not happening. The US has already thrown the Euro countries under the bus on the financial market (through strange Japanese Yen finance capitalism shenanigans) and blown through EVERYONE’S supplies of modern munitions in Iran with their war of aggression, and they have no hope of rebuilding those in any reasonable time frame as modern militaries require rare earths, and neither US nor EU have enough infrastructure to mine, refine or produce their own components for said militaries. China’s output alone cannot be matched by these powers.

European civilians, the working class and those unable to work also, starting with the most vulnerable will bear the brunt of the impact. Mass unemployment and poverty and famine, with increasing governmental repression to keep the ruling class safe from the population’s rage and demands for governmental reform. First they came for the socialists etc. The existing forms of social aid will stop working, and eventually there must and will be civilian political organization that is ready and willing to engage in armed class conflict, working outside and independently the existing social and political systems building its own elections and democratic processes for societal representation. The capitalists will never let you vote their power away using the same systems they built and they control. They’d literally rather let you die.

My question for the European worker is then why wait? Must countless more suffer and die before it is clear that capitalism is the main thing hindering most of our well-being? When will the European learn humility, and admit to the amount of suffering their own states have wrought globally, and admit that they too could be and have been mislead? Change is possible, capitalism doesn’t have to be the end of history. Though time is running out. An ecocatastrophe, caused by human-accelrated climate change, will drive ecocide. Countless people will die and be displaced, with some expecting the athmosphere to turn toxic for human life due to the amount of CO2 by the 2050s.
