    Using random homes’ smart appliances to bypass ip bans to scrape data for AI training is spectacularly creative in its evil, especially because the power consumption costs for passing anubis just go to the appliance owners. I wonder how much the appliance vendors sell these data contracts for.

      This is not necessarily true if smart devices are just being used as proxies but I don’t know how this shit works
