    No, we aren’t. There is no war. There was a war a few decades ago when students were on the streets protesting against Vietnam and Communism was haunting the middle class’ restless dreams.
    That war is over. Our parents lost it. The Epstein Island class owns the government. We aren’t fighting.
    Luigi sacrificed himself to ignite a new war. He failed because we still have too much to lose.

      Meanwhile, socialism is rising in popularity, and revolutionary socialist parties are growing at faster and faster rates. This kind of doomerism isn’t tied to material reality, and critically prevents us from actually doing what’s necessary.
