“it’s abuse to record” but not physical abuse, so it must be emotional then.

Is cheating not emotional abuse? What a weird take.

I wonder if it would be the same thought process if genders wre reversed.

Good point. She was aiding an intruder into his bedroom, perfectly justified to record it, especially since it had an impact on their divorce case.
It is 100% he who was wronged. Him recording it is 100% justified.

If he had put it on the Internet, or sent it to her friends, that would be different. She can’t complain that he recorded evidence in his own house.

You keep using the word intruder, but the person was invited by a legal occupant. The law doesn’t work on a tit for tat basis, one person’s bad behavior isn’t a legal excuse for someone else’s bad behavior.

I’m surprised he didn’t have a lawyer go through it and delete parts that would get him in trouble.

I agree with your overall logic, but I think you replied to the wrong person. They never even mentioned the word abuse, nor did they say it wasn’t.

I did, and while I agree that being ordered to pay money for that is bullshit and they should have just gotten a divorce and be done with it, that’s not the point.

He was punished for recording in his own home.

If your neighbours break into your house to have wild sex, they shouldn’t be surprised if they got recorded - but that doesn’t make it legal to record it.

Just like when the neighbours break into your house you’re not allowed to kill them.

Someone breaking one law does not allow you to break another. That can seem unfair and become conflicting, but is a basic truth across the globe.

This husband wasn’t allowed to record his wife having sex without her consent.

Where’s the line for y’all here? Is he allowed to rape her? Beat her? Torture her? What other crimes is he allowed to commit against her in your opinion?

Velma. You have firmly established that you know how to use a slippery slope and straw man fallacy. We all see your accomplishment. Well done you. If I give you a medal will you stop?

He wasn’t allowed, he was punished.

She forgot there was a camera in her house when she invited her affair partner over. He didn’t post it online, he used it in court. And again (since you like repeating) he was punished.

Are you a bot? Your comments don’t really make a lot of sense and you seem to be deploying them at random. Or is a person turning on their home security camera like, your main beef with this world?
