I wonder what these numbers are like outside the CFA. Especially for DRC, East Africa, and Southern Africa. I’d imagine the numbers are similar, but I think it’d be very interesting to see the “new” colonial extraction borders layed out over the African continent. Perhaps if the studies are developed enough, it could apply to a regional level, which could provide an entire map of Africa that shows how the western powers have sliced up the continent.
DRC has more Canadian and Anglo (well its kinda the crown jewel of Africa to exploit, so everyone is active there), Same with East Africa which also has Japan and India thrown into the mix- France has made inroads into Mozambique recently. Angola - the US and EU, Brazil via Biocom. Southern Africa has sub-imperial South Africa, the UK, Canada, and Germany in Namibia mostly.
CFA has the benefit of the french having already “captured” the region allowing other europeans to slip in more easily.
