mike judge hasn’t really expressed those opinions in his other works so i don’t think the movie tries to express that. it just does, perhaps unintentionally. you can equally make the case that it’s a great replacement allegory, or a meritocratic argument, or criticism of institutions that neglect the lower classes.

point being, i’d like to know what the writers room tried to actually make it express.
