      That’s literally just a sales website. I don’t see any indicator of why it’s a bad idea, just a pitch of an enterprise and an individual solution for a problem it doesn’t explain.

        Would you give a stranger your phone so it can read you directions or tell you that you have a text from your mom? What if the stranger read it aloud for you? What if that stranger was hundreds of thousands of people called a company and they were selling that data to their other friends who charge you money for car insurance?

          Yes, modern cars are a privacy nightmare. Yes, modern smartphones are a privacy nightmare. But what does Android Auto have to do with any of this? All it does is run a second screen for your phone.
