    I’ve got a suspicion that this is one of those “say something intentionally stupid so that everyone jumps on the train to correct you and create engagement”.

      Or someone says something evocative of their meaning but not fully fact-checked and cited because they aren’t a clanker.

        There’s not all that much fact checking about something like that. It’s not like they claimed something and got one small detail wrong. It’s just a blanket statement that is unsubstantiated. Assuming they have common knowledge of the industry they’re in, it takes just one game that is not coin-operated and has some save functionality to make the original statement invalid.

      That’s how everything in the internet works nowadays. I just can’t do it. Everyone (mostly bots I suspect) seem to want to get pissed off or feel themselves like correct or interesting.
