I pretty much disagree with the “…democratizing creativity…” because creativity was never a thing that only a few selected people can use, it’s comes in the human package

But as soon as people use their creativity in ways that are “not approved”, they get called uncreative, unable to learn, not human, etc. etc. etc.

Anyone can be creative, but most are not good illustrators, myself included.

Neither i am, but it can be learnt, you see my pfp? I drew it, i couldn’t do it some months ago! I thought i wouldn’t ever be able to

Her? I drew her myself too, 5 months ago i said “hell naw i can’t draw, i tried but i just can’t!” and now i proved myself wrong, i could do it, and i did it, i was so fucking wrong

It’s not the best art piece of course but that’s because i barelly train myself and don’t have any expirience; you can also just trace over photos or art if you need to, there is no shame on that and many professional artists also do that

Edit: I get that someone may not want to learn how to draw but for that there are art commissions

Anything can be learned given enough time, but the reality is that people only have so much time in their day. If you have the inclination and time to spend learning how to draw, that’s fantastic and good for you. But doing that is an opportunity cost of learning how to do something else.

Do you realize you don’t have to be an artist to modify the text of a comic stript that already existed?

This is the original, OP could’ve just opened Paint.net, GIMP or whatever they know, painted with white and inserted a text but nooo we gotta use AI to do such simple task

Edit: found a slightly higher quality image

I don’t disagree with anything you just said. I can’t draw nearly that well, but then I’ve never really spent the time. I’ve learned a lot of things, but can’t learn everything; there are only so many hours in a life 🤷
