Mainstream politicians around Europe have expressed alarm after the far-right Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) swept to a historic state election victory in Germany, while nationalist figures cheered the result as a mandate for change.
While falling just short of an absolute majority, the AfD surged into first place in the Saxony-Anhalt state election on Sunday, exit polls showed, putting the far right within reach of power at the state level for the first time since the second world war.

your comment comes across like you’re implying that it’s actually fine and everyone is overreacting and should calm down. in other words, exactly what every center-right and right-wing idiot in the US did before trump.

It is genuinely scary, but most don’t understand how the system works. This is like the Republicans winning Texas except part of the Republican party refuses to work with the other part because they are nazis. So the sane half work with the democrats to keep the Nazis from having influence.
The Nazis are taking over everywhere because THEY ARE ALL FUNDED BY THE SAME PEOPLE.
