Ok, I had always thought western Marxists and Trot’s as synonyms.

I had also assumed that trotskyism wouldn’t be as much of a prevailing theory because they don’t have the same western media that constantly condemns everything AES states do. AES states are also much more friendly to the capitalist global south compared to the west. Maybe the constant coups the US does against revolutions in LATAM make it more difficult to understand socialism working for themselves without a revolution in the US.
