    Tbh, the price is about what I expected as well. Not horribly different from a fully decked out Valve Index when they were new, and theyre including the controllers alongsode the headset this time.

    You’d hope it’d have been cheaper due to the lack of external sensors to buy, but inflation and ram/storage prices going up was inevitable. I just hope it’s not DOA from people comparing it to Meta’s (heavily subsidized) options

      I’m buying one because giving money to Meta simply isn’t an option in terms of my own principles.

        Same here. I’ve been interested in VR for a couple of years, and it was either get an old & used Index/Vive (yuck) that you couldn’t easily get replacement parts for or wait for the Frame. Meta was never a consideration because fuck those assholes

          FWIW the Quest 1 is still capable and has been rooted recently so that you can use it without the Meta shit. Should be able to find a used one for quite cheap.

      GamersNexus made it a point to compare privacy policies between them in their review first and foremost, so that’s a start
