    Yeah I’m gonna guess it’s based on whatever service you are using losing distribution rights to it, because the book is available in the US pretty much everywhere.

      They’re showing a UK edition. British books arent generally available in the US or vice versa when a domestic edition is available.

        well, then it would be your borrowing time ran out, perhaps, and the app just said ‘screw you’ instead of offering a check-out renewal

        Ohhh don’t tell anyone but I get all my ebooks from my cities library with Calibre. There’s an extension you can add that removes the drm (afaicr it was made by the same guy that created drm) and now you have the full ebook.
