All they have to do is not be jerks flashing their brights on someones window. Nobody made them turn on or keep on brights when there was a direct consequence that required no participation from me. They can turn it off, easiest thing in the world, how would they escape liabillity

Ah, I see you have no idea how “brights” work, friend. A slight shift in a car’s vertical plane (ie. speed bump or other object in the road, sudden stop/start, etc.) will also affect the lights’ illuminated area. Now, add to that the size difference between said headlights and the sliding glass doors, and you should be able to picture the blinding result of even non-brights being reflected back along their initial trajectory at anyone and anything in that direction. Not just a single vehicle, but all vehicles.
This is a terrible idea, and will definitely cause innumerable issues, let alone lawsuits. You do you, though. 🤫
This is literally only a problem for a parked car making the conscious decision to hang out and linger with their brights activated. There is no speed or lack of visibillity involved, most of those affected are not even authorized to be parkinhg in the assigned parking spots where this is at issue.
But yeah, drivers should just do whatever they want all the time and leave the worries of legal liabillity for their own trashy behavior to the victim of it, as is rightful Tradition
