Wise Owl forgot to mention eating healthy.

I think the basic reason people don’t want to do the things that Wise Owl mentioned, going to be early, having a daily routine, and exercising, is two things.

The first reason is framing. What’s exercise and how can you convince yourself to do it? Maybe you don’t like exercising regularly, but you like doing some sport, or you enjoy some other physical activity like dancing. If you don’t like going to the gym, but you like playing a sport, then you can exercise by playing that sport more.

Exercising absolutely sucks if you’re just doing it to exercise. But it might make sense to exercise for some other reason. Like you want to do better at a sport or you want to learn new dance moves.

The second reason people might get into the things Wise Owl said, I think, is if you’re responsible for another human. There’s all sorts of stuff that I would have a hard time doing for myself, but I’d eagerly do so that I don’t disappoint other people. Like, I don’t have kids, but there are a lot of people who have gotten their act together for the sake of their children. I know I was much better about routine and stuff when I was the primary caregiver for my parents.

There’s a reason nobody keeps a treadmill for long… they’re machines designed only to exercise in the most boring way possible; cruel monuments of the worst possible method to maintain health. The actual answer is what you said: to find something you enjoy that requires movement and exertion, and do it every day.
