funny thing is everyone i know who… made a legit effort in college and in life in general has done well. it’s the people who… just kind of showed up and expected to be rewarded that struggled and continue to struggle economically.
and that is regardless of economic conditions. it is the economy but it’s also personal habits and expectations. my own brother has been unemployed for over 5 years now, and what he won’t accept that is it’s his attitude that makes him unemployable. he’s so prideful he would rather be unemployed than ‘take a job that is below me’. had multiple offers are smaller companies for less pay and just refused to take them.
his industry has been shrinking for over a decade too, and he also refused to try another industry…

Agreed. The sort of people who just want the paper rather than growth get left behind. Those who focus on growth will continue to grow.
