So if his kids die in a Russian trench before reproducing, he would be eligible for a DA. A this time I’d give him a Honorable Mention at most. Edit : Their sons from different marriages opted to stay behind in the US. This would be a HM at best.

You can get a DA if your actions lead to your children not reproducing, but generally DAs are not awarded if you kill someone else.
