I did and didn’t see anything pertaining to whether or not someone SHOULD update from an older firmware.
You might be new to the jailbreaking scene, so let me explain. There are certain firmwares that are going to be more capable than others. This also means that there are firmwares that developers will focus on more than the newest one, either because their own machine is a specific firmware or because that’s where most of the other tools for jailbreaking are still being worked on.
Imagine making a comment about wanting to talk to someone about something because you want THEIR input, then you come in and point to the fucking article that doesn’t have anything about what I am asking about.
To be fair 4.03 isn’t even supported firmware. It’s 7.0-13.6 as the GitHub page states. I have no personal experience to share about it as I don’t own a ps5 though, wish you luck jailbreaking ur unit! Always a bit of a nerve wrecking experience especially the first time with a specific device.
It’s already been jailbroken, but certain firmwares will get more love and attention in the scene. Kstuff, shadowmount, etc. are all important things to keep in mind when thinking about updating to newer firmwares. I have access to more jailbreaks because of the low firmware.
Like, in another year, there might be another vulnerability found in older firmwares like mine that could enable a full untethered jailbreak. That’s what I would LOVE to see. It would just be nice to have an actual conversation with someone about it is all I was saying.
Or you know, read the article or the exploit’s git hub release notes.
Wow.

Thanks for being kind, at the very least!

Thanks again, seriously. :-]
And again, read the article that links directly to THE FUCKING RELEASE NOTES that literally outline what firmware it works on.
Lazy ass.
Okay, reading isn’t your strong suit.
Have a terrible day.
