It kind of is, since most of society is brainwashed in similar ways by right wing media which tells them what to think. Most people think what they are told to think.
Given what the Brits did to Corbyn for just saying Palestinians have rights, I can’t say I’m surprised. At least there’s a voice speaking the truth in an ocean of bullshit.
