Something like 80% of Swedish / Norwegian / Danish is mutually understandable between the languages so a Swedish and Danish speaker can easily have a normal conversation entirely in their own languages and be understood perfectly well.
In Swedish and I dont understand Danish at all. Norwegian is ok, I can understand parts of it. But Danish is super different. However, the Danish seems to understand Swedish much easier.
I have no personal experience being an English speaker just got talking to a couple once that we’re Swedish / Norwegian and I asked which they spoke to each other and they just said “whichever, doesn’t really matter”

The problem with danish is they don’t know how to speak and they just eat half the sounds. Written danish is a lot more understandable than spoken

Ah yeah. I can read that without problems actually as a swede. So yeah, its just when they talk it becomes a mess to listen to. :)
